Fully Continuous Pyrolysis Plant
The continuous pyrolysis plant is a giant “waste-to-resource transformer.” It breaks down waste in a high-temperature, oxygen-free setting into smaller molecules, which undergo a series of complex chemical reactions to transform into valuable energy sources like fuel oil and industrial raw materials such as carbon black. This entire process resembles a magical chemical reaction, turning waste into treasure.

How does it work?
Imagine having a giant, sealed oven filled with waste materials ready for processing. This oven is heated to extremely high temperatures, but it is devoid of oxygen, so the waste does not burn; instead, it begins to decompose. The gases and liquids resulting from this decomposition are collected and, after undergoing further processing, are transformed into fuel oil that we can use. The solid residues, such as carbon black, are also valuable industrial raw materials.
In which fields does it excel?
The application scope of continuous thermal decomposition plants is very broad. For example, they can process waste tires, converting them into fuel oil and carbon black; they can also handle plastic waste, reducing plastic pollution while recovering energy; they can even treat industrial waste such as oil sludge, achieving the resource utilization of industrial waste.
Raw Materials for Continuous Thermal Pyrolysis Equipment
Waste tires | Waste tires are a popular material for recycling. The final products include fuel oil, steel wires, and carbon black. The average oil yield from this process is 40%-45%.
Oil Sludge | The main products resulting from oil sludge processing are slag and oil, with yields varying based on the materials used, ultimately aiming to achieve zero pollution release.
Waste Plastics | The main products resulting from oil sludge processing are slag and oil, with yields varying based on the materials used, ultimately aiming to achieve zero pollution release.
MSW | Initially, mixed Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) must be sorted. Following sorting, plastics are separated and can be processed, yielding oil from the mixed plastics at a rate of 30-50%.
Medical Waste | Medical waste undergoes microwave disinfection before pyrolysis processing, yielding oil at a rate of 30-50%.
Aluminized Paper | Aluminized paper can be processed through a pyrolysis system, with oil yield varying based on materials. On average, plastic-inclusive materials yield around 35% oil, while aluminum yields approximately 20%.
Waste Cables | Oil yield from waste cables varies based on material composition: PE cables can achieve over 70%, rubber cables yield approximately 35%, metals such as copper or aluminum will be separated. |
Pyrolysis Equipment Operating Procedures
Put the raw material into the reactor first, then seal the feed door and start the machine. The reactor is heated by rotating with coal, natural gas, wood, or electricity. When the temperature hits between 250 and 280 degrees, start extracting crude oil and keep producing oil vapor until the temperature reaches 350 to 460 degrees. The vapor passes through an oil-gas separator, where the lighter parts go to the condenser and the heavy oil goes into a tank automatically. The liquid part turns back into crude oil, and the non-liquid part is sent back to the combustion chamber through a water-sealed system to be used again as heating material.
Application Of Final Products
Pyrolysis oil :45-52%
♦ Can be used directly in the heavy oil generator to get electricity.
♦ Part of it can be used back to pyrolysis machine for heating the reactor.
♦ Can be sold directly, widely used in ceramic factory, cement factory, steel factory, hotels, etc.
♦ Can be refined to be non-standard diesel, can be used in the diesel generator, boat, and other heavy duty low speed diesel engines.
♦ Will be recycled to the furnace for heating the reactor.
Carbon black :30%
♦ Can be pressed to be briquettes and used as fuel.
♦ Can be used to produce rubbers pads , rubber belt , soles, etc.
♦ Can be further reprocessed to be higher quality, and used as fortifier and filler of plastic and rubber industry or as color master batch.
Steel Wires ( from waste tires) :12-15%
♦ Can be sold directly to steel factory.
Combustible gas :about 10%
♦ Will be recycled to the furnace for heating the reactor.
